Prentice Gate Software Announces Beta Program for Alation Data Catalog Chrome Browser Extensions

Townsend, TN – December 19, 2023 - Prentice Gate Software, an emerging innovator in enterprise data software solutions, is thrilled to announce the beta release of three groundbreaking browser extensions designed to enhance the user experience and functionality of the Alation Data Catalog. Available exclusively on the Chrome Store, these extensions promise to revolutionize productivity, accessibility, and overall adoption of the Alation catalog.

The two extensions in the beta release are:
1. Term Creator: It lets anyone quickly and easily add glossary terms from any document, report, or webpage while they do their work.
2. AI-Powered Description Generator: It makes curating descriptions a breeze by using the power of chatGPT to auto-generate sample descriptions for a wide array of objects including schemas, tables, columns, queries, policies, terms, and more.
During the beta period, Prentice Gate Software is offering users unrestricted access to these extensions at no cost with the goal of gathering feedback in preparation for their general availability release. After the beta period, each of the extensions will be available for a monthly subscription.
